Case Study : UKMFTS

Spidre supported the production of the UKMFTS solution. This contract is PPP based and designed to provide enhanced training for future UK military pilots.

 

Spidre worked with both the prime contractor and the MoD to ensure the system solution conformed to the contractual requirements while minimising the project risk. The output from this analysis of the solution also provided support to the Security assessment.

 

This work focused initially on analysing the business - this is of particular necessity when dealing with PPP based projects. When the business is defined and validated by the stakeholders, the system solution space is examined. We ensure that the systems will support the business and that the underlying infrastructure is interoperable, compatible with the requirements of the MoD (such as IOCA compliance), and achievable given time and cost constraints.

 

As the project includes a variety of personnel with varying degrees of expertise, effort was made to ensure that where possible the output of the Systems Analysis was obvious without the need to undergo special training.

 

Success has been proven due to the continual re-use of our project analyses.
