Case Study : Dynamic simulation

Understand your bandwidth, decision time or delivery performance

Spidre has used Enterprise Architectures, like MODAF, to be incredibly useful in assessing business and system design, performance interoperability. We use these techniques to undertake of real-time analysis. Once a simulation is obtained it will provide any information on the system, eg: the bandwidth required, the time taken to send or receive a message or the cost of processing a message, either financial or resource (such as human or system)

Below is a simulation derived automatically from the system model. The simulation can be executed in an infinite number of ways to examine potential ‘what-if’ scenarios, potentially providing information on any parameter. This approach allows performance and cost evaluation of complex systems quickly.

The following example emulates a web based client-server interaction over a satellite link. The protocol is TCP/IP using SYN-ACK handshaking with a maximum permitted MTU size. The geo-stationary satellite presents an atypical latency but has a maximum bandwidth of 150kbytes/sec.

Note that this simulation is derived entirely from the diagram!
